With a strong Waikato farming background and a considerable career in the banking and finance sector Wayne heads the team at Oliver Mortgage & Insurance with a down to earth 'can do' attitude!
Oliver Mortgage & Insurance began after Wayne left the corporate finance industry and established himself as an independent mortgage broker. That was in 1996. He was joined by his eldest daughter Mel before she ventured overseas. Scott commenced in 2001 and became Wayne's understudy. Scott has now taken over the day to day running of this expanding business allowing Wayne to focus on what he loves to do best - look after his clients.
Wayne's devotion to the needs of his clients, his focus on detail, client satisfaction and drive to achieve the right outcome for all concerned has never wavered. He is still as passionate about the business and his clients today as he was when he first started.
Wayne was recognised within the mortgage broking industry when he won the very first "Mortgage Broker of the Year" award in 2001.
Wayne is a regular investor in real estate and owns several properties, so he is well equipped to provide advice especially in the field of investment property. Another of Wayne's passions is the thoroughbred industry. He has shares in the ownership of some thoroughbreds and he is also a small time breeder. Some foals are retained for racing and the others are sold. He also enjoys investing in the sharemarket and money market as well as playing tennis and golf socially. A marathon runner onetime and committee member of the Hamilton Marathon Clinic Wayne now excercises by walking daily.
Like Scott he is an avid fan of sport and loves travelling to new places.
Wayne drives the team at Oliver Mortgage & Insurance with a strong desire to achieve the best outcome for everyone. This has been the winning formula for the success of Oliver Mortgage & Insurance.
